Frequently Asked Questions

LONG TERM DISABILITY/ERISA

1. Do I have a long term disability/ERISA case?

Many employers offer to their employees long term disability insurance coverage. This is coverage that pays the employee a percentage of the employee’s salary if the employee becomes disabled. Sometimes the long term disability insurance company will refuse to pay long term disability benefits to the employee by claiming that the employee is not disabled enough to receive the benefits. If this happens, the assistance of an attorney may be required. At Farrell & Gasparo, P.A., we handle long term disability claims all the way from the initial stages to federal court, if necessary.
